Donny Osmond's second solo album is very much the logical follow-up to his first, all the way down to the
Everly Brothers cover (a buoyant "Bye Bye Love" this time) and the world-conquering hit single. "Go Away Little Girl" does sound a little arch being sung by a 14-year-old boy, but
Osmond's delivery does belie his age, not only here but elsewhere across a surprisingly entertaining record. As with its predecessor, the listener is free to wonder precisely how much say
Donny had in the choice of songs or arrangements, but he acquits himself with becoming style, and the album emerges as lightweightedly enjoyable as it ought to. ~ Dave Thompson
