An unknown collective called the Riders of the Local Motion runs through 12
Train selections on this tribute to the band, brought to market by those wily sound farmers over at Big Eye Music. There's no mention of
Train's solid debut, which is too bad because "Meet Virginia" was a great song. Instead,
Tribute to Train is split between
Drops of Jupiter and
My Private Nation. The types here handle "She's on Fire" satisfactorily, and the instrumentation for "Calling All Angels" is solid, even if the vocalist is a little thin. But for the most part
Tribute to Train isn't going to wow any superfans of the band. A novelty only. ~ Johnny Loftus
