Noisier and harsher than the group's debut,
Twin Infinitives is a polarizing record -- you either understand
Royal Trux's primal, atonal deconstructions of rock & roll, or you think it's self-indulgent, unlistenable crap. Either way,
Twin Infinitives is noteworthy for stretching the amateurish trash-rock of Royal Trux to the extreme, creating a defiantly noisy and abrasive assault of gutted riffs, screams, tinny synthesizers and melodic fragments. It may not be particularly listenable, but it is some sort of achievement.
