Inspired by a five-week creative retreat in France,
Un Serpent Sous les Fleurs is the organic-sounding third studio album from Canadian singer/songwriter
Yann Perreau. Featuring lyrics based on poems sent to him by friends and fellow musicians, including Camille Dalmais, the 2009 follow-up to Nucléaire includes the singles "L'Amour Se Meurt," "Le Président Danse Autrement," and "Beau Comme On S'Aime." Co-produced with Alex McMahon (
Plaster), its 11 tracks also feature musicians George Donoso III and Martin Pelland, formerly of Montreal indie rock band
the Dears. ~ Jon O'Brien
