Under Investigation 3 is Jacksonville, Florida rapper Lil Poppa's first release for Yo Gotti's CMG imprint. Arriving a year after Poppa's Billboard 200-charting studio album Blessed, I Guess, the hour-long mixtape is another showcase for the rapper's fluid, fast-paced melodic flow and violent, tormented lyrics. Featuring the input of over four dozen producers, the set mainly sticks to a melancholy trap sound, heavy on pianos and occasionally clean, atmospheric guitars, as on the harder "Free Squeeze." Yo Gotti, Lil Duval, and Jdot Breezy provide the only guest features. Like its predecessor, Under Investigation 3 cracked the Billboard 200.
