The CD jacket to Acquire the Fire's 2001 release, Unshakeable, reads, "In your city a storm rages. Shaking walls. Rattling foundations. The trembling is unbearable. It must stop -- for the sake of survival. The pummeling is not against walls or buildings but against our very souls. The quake attacks the heart of man, eroding the basics of morality. There is only One who can calm the storm. There is only One who can repair that which is broken. And it is on this One, Christ the solid rock, which we stand." Upon reading this, one doesn't need to listen to the CD to determine it is no ordinary praise & worship project. However, it is in listening to Unshakeable that one is captured by a newfound fire to boldly stand. Released by Acquire the Fire, an organization challenging youth to stand for their Christian faith, Unshakeable is a combination of acoustic rock and pop. It offers an upbeat, yet intimate collection of 11 songs. The release features the vocal talents of ATF founder Ron Luce in addition to artists Superchic[k], Jeff Deyo, Nick Gonzales of Salvador, Brad Olsen of the Waiting, Melissa Tawlks, Plumb, and Phil Joel. Songs include "I Wanna Be Clean," "You Are My King," and "History Maker." ~ Ashleigh Kittle
