A great meaty sampler of Twisted Records material circa 2002,
Unusual Suspects showcased deep and tactile trance in the vein of Simon Posford. Incorporating the same sample as
Carter the Unstoppable Sex Machine's "Do Re Me, So Far So Good," DSP captured the patchouli drive of Goa in "Have a Good Time (All the Time)," while
Tristan's "Fortean Times" and Twisted Allstars' "Blue Sky on Mars" were harder, more house-driven tracks that suggested a less spiritual tone for the label. The biggest draw was Fly Agaric's "I See Myself," a heaving, acidic pseudonymous mini-anthem put together by Posford and
Infected Mushroom. ~ Dean Carlson
