Frankie Ruiz's second solo outing is even more dynamic than the first; by this time, full-fledged vocalist
Ruiz was the king of the hill as far as public acceptance and helping to inspire a new interest in salsa. TH-Rodven music machine and producer Julio César Delgado was at the top of his game, indeed. The hits include "Quiero Llenarte," "Desnúdate Mujer," "Imposible Amor" (by composer/singer
Pedro Arroyo), and the title tune (by Peter Velázquez). An energetic addition to the late to mid-'80s that would be matched by the likes of
Gilberto Santa Rosa,
Tony Vega,
Tito Rojas' 1990 comeback, and in later years
Domingo Quiñones,
Victor Manuelle, and
Michael Stuart. Highly recommended. ~ José A. Estévez, Jr.
