Greyson Chance wears his influences on his youth medium-sized sleeve. “Waiting Outside the Lines,” the main song here, is a Top 40-styled pop ballad in the same vein as
Beyoncé’s “Halo." The other two numbers are cover songs;
Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi” is scaled down and performed as a theatrical piano ballad, while
