The release of "When You're Hot, You're Hot" found
Jerry Reed topping the charts for the first time in 1971.
Reed's early albums were consistently good as a whole, in part because of
Reed's refusal to be anything but eclectic. The highlights of the album include his second hit, "Amos Moses," the instrumental "Turned On," and "Ruby Don't Take Your Love to Town," which sounds tailor-made to his delivery. ~ Al Campbell
