The Oysters turn in some highly political material here, leading off with "The Generals Are Born Again" and covering
Billy Bragg's "Between the Wars," but the love songs are just as fervent, notably "The Oxford Girl." It all barrels along at quick tempos, with much intricate playing and full-voiced singing; this is stirring stuff. ~ William Ruhlmann
