The Joggers, who hail from Portland, Oregon, are proof that there is still a good deal of mileage left in mining the sounds of early-'80s post-punk. With a heavy debt to the spiky funk-punk of Gang of Four and a dash of the pop smarts of contemporaries like Franz Ferdinand, the Joggers craft music that is moody and jagged, yet full of bouncy, memorable hooks.
