Cali & El Dandee became a sensation in Spain when their single "Yo Te Esperaré" was included in Gran Hermano 12+1. They quickly followed on their success by re-recording "Gol" as "No Hay 2 Sin 3" with
David Bisbal, which would become the Spanish national team's theme song for the 2012 Euro Cup (eventually won by Spain, which certainly did not hurt the duo's prospects). All three tracks are included in
3 A.M., the Colombian brothers' first international release. The album largely collects songs that had previously been hits in Latin America, some in their original versions and other in newly recorded versions. Almost invariably, the material adheres to the duo's blueprint of dance beats, pop choruses, and reggaeton and hip-hop vocals, heavily treated with Auto-Tune. Guests include
David Bisbal, Caravan, Daniel Maldonado, Lucca Perotti, and Tatiana Klauss, as well as
Natalia Bautista, featured on the album's lead single, "La Playa." ~ Mariano Prunes
