You just have to take a gander at some of the bands that Germany's
Fall of Serenity has opened for since their 1998 inception to get a feel for what they sound like:
Vader,
Malevolent Creation, and
God Dethroned, for starters. Extreme metal is what the folks in
Fall of Serenity specialize in, and they certainly let open the floodgates on their sixth release overall, 2006's
Bloodred Salvation. Intense and aggressive is the best way to describe these gentlemen, as the double bass drumming, speed metal riffing, and growled vocals never let up from beginning to end. While it's been done a million times before by a million different bands, fans of the aforementioned acts should get a kick out of
Bloodred Salvation, especially such headbanging highlights as "Out of the Clouds" and "Raise Your Remorse." Intense and well-played? Absolutely. Original? Not exactly. ~ Greg Prato
