The third release from this California-based band,
Blue Pyramid features an '80s hair band sound ten years too late. The lyrics are unsophisticated, and the themes tired and cliché, as shown by song titles like "Business As Usual," "Bustin' a Move," and "Crank It Up!" Still, the seeds of potential for a good blues-based hard rock band are here. In fact, the title track is all about building upon blues roots. The opening track, "Covering Hallowed Ground," showcases the band's sound to its best advantage. However, the overall results are not very memorable. For devoted followers of the band only. ~ Steven Jacobetz
