This LP has four selections apiece from two different sessions. The earlier numbers match clarinetist
Pete Fountain with trumpeter
Al Hirt (these are among their first recordings), along with tenor saxophonist
Eddie Miller and trombonist
Abe Lincoln, in a hot septet. Among the tunes they perform are "March of the Bob Cats" and "Jazz Me Blues." In addition, there are four selections from
Fountain as the only horn with a quartet and a quintet from 1961; vibraphonist
Godfrey Hirsch and pianist
Stan Wrightsman are among the supporting cast. Excellent Dixieland music performed with the usual
Fountain spirit.
