On their 2019 self-titled third album, San Diego's Chon further hone their sophisticated brand of instrumental rock. As with their sophomore album, 2017's Homey, Chon once again showcases the talents of guitarist Mario Camarena, guitarist Erick Hansel, and drummer Nathan Camarena. Together they've crafted yet another expansive mix of forward-thinking, progressive tracks that touch upon metal, math rock, fusion, and beyond. Included on the album are the singles "Peace" and "Pitch Dark."
