José Antonio Labordeta (1935-2010) was one of Spain's foremost singer/songwriters, as well as a poet and a congressman for the regional socialist party Chunta Aragonesista. Labordeta was a singer/songwriter in the mold of Georges Brassens or Paco Ibañez, a staunch champion of freedom, solidarity, and social justice, and a heartfelt chronicler of life in the province of Aragon. This three-CD/DVD anthology, released on the first anniversary of his death, contains 55 of his most representative songs such as "Somos," "Canto a la Libertad," and "Banderas Rotas," culled from his entire discography and all remastered from the original studio versions. The collection includes duets with Paco Ibañez, La Trinca, Javier Ruibál, Joaquín Sabina, Joan Manuel Serrat, and Luis Eduardo Aute, among others. A DVD with historic live and television performances rounds off this comprehensive set.
