Multi-instrumentalist Marcos Barcellos, who records under the name Ariell, has made a follow-up to his popular CONVERSATIONS WITH ANGELS album. The mood throughout all 15 tracks is supremely tranquil, with washes of synthesizer creating the sounds of piano, guitars, harpsichords, flutes, bells, and strings. Yet Ariel avoids the tinny timbres that often dominate on synthesizer-heavy albums, creating instead an organic journey through a world of shifting colors and sonic riches. This second installment comes recommended to fans of the first CONVERSATIONS WITH ANGELS, who will find a deeply soothing, rewarding relief in Ariell's orchestral compositions.
