Though produced by
Marty Gold, one of the major forces in RCA's Stereo Action series,
Crazy Rhythm is arranged by session veteran
Al Caiola. Like most of
Caiola's work, it is even and satisfactory, with a few minor standouts. "Expresso," "The Donkey Serenade," "Nola," and "Crazy Rhythm" all make good use of Stereo Action's scored-for-channel-switching gimmick. The sole guitar LP of the series, it could have been better. But it probably will not disappoint
Caiola and Stereo Action fans.
