After issuing the experimental Dale in 1997 and the live album A Morir! in 1998, the Latin alternative metal trio
Catupecu Machu recorded
Cuentos Decapitados, internationally released by EMI in January 2002. The record opens with the hit single "Y Yo Lo Que Quiero Es Que Pises Sin el Suelo," followed by the Latin pop/rock "Eso Espero," "Perfectos Cromosomas," and "Secretos Pasadizos."
Cuentos Decapitados' alternative side emerges with "Entero O a Pedazos," and "Mamá Me Dijo Que No Viniera...," and the band then turns to hard rock with "Eso Vive."
