Lisp craft ambitious musical structures while trying to find that all-elusive hook. In "Long Way to Climb," the flitter of (what appear to be) mandolins are situated directly on top of a wobbly celebration of vague compositional glower even when, as with most of the other stuff on here,
Jonnie Gordon seems both contemplative and overzealous. "You're so good they'll have to bury you twice," he sings, as if preemptively ridiculed. Ultimately, it's at times so enamoured by its own hazy astrology that it never hammers together any intelligence or meaning.
