Kicking off with the Red Café cut "Drug Lord," Different World is a mixtape that rounds up all the best "features" that 2 Chainz dropped during the 2012-2013 season, meaning all those "featuring 2 Chainz" appearances the rapper made on other artists' tunes. For example, track number two is the swaggering A$AP Rocky hit "F**kin' Problems," essentially a posse cut with fellow hitmakers Drake and Kendrick Lamar joining in on the hardcore fun. "Marble Floors" is the cut that put French Montana on the map, "So Gone" is the main reason why G-Unit soldier Young Buck was a talking point in 2012, Future's minor hit "Mind Blown" goes so hard it should have been more than minor, while the closing "Freak Show" is an infectious street banger favorite from Meek Mill. Lesser-known numbers come from R&B singer Sterling Simms ("Make You Somebody"), Chris Brown sound-alike B. Smyth ("Leggo"), and rapper Gudda Gudda, who gives up his anthem ("I'm Gudda"). It's a mixed bag, although one that's mixed together and sequenced with some skill; plus there's the overall feeling that if artists were lucky enough to catch 2 Chainz as his star was rocketing toward the sky, they weren't going to waste the opportunity with a whack track. Fans, who probably missed the majority of these cuts as they came out, get an easy one-stop shop along with those A$AP and Montana bangers, which are always worth one more spin.
