On their self-titled debut album, Atlanta's
Floraline combine bossa nova, disco and new-wave elements into a fresh, breezy sound. Sweetly sophisticated songs like "Fade," and "I Should Say" feature the jazzy, versatile vocals of
Linda Sharp, surrounded by sleek, slightly exotic synth and guitar lines. Dave Trumfio of
the Pulsars recorded
Floraline at his Kingsize studios, and his production work gives the album an appealing, authentically new-wave sheen.
Floraline's debut suggests they are the best Eurotrash band to come out of Georgia in a while.
