Pop percussionist
Schory usually is good for one or two interesting tracks per album at the most. It is hard to say what the standouts of
Holiday for Percussion are, however. There is a samba treatment of "El Cumbanchero" to start -- no improvement. "Tiger Rag," "Bolero Diablo," and "Chinatown My Chinatown" are okay but represent missed opportunity. The title track, of course, is a percussive take on "Holiday for Strings." Like most of the Stereo Action series, this one is listenable but dispensable.
