A nicely packaged three-song CD, actually two songs -- there's two versions of "Love Ride," one's a radio edit, the other a 7:13 extended version. The former Motown and Hot Production artist wrote and produced both sides. "Love Ride" is a waltz accented by a crying saxophone and hypnotic accompanying vocals that complements Nero's slow lover to lover rap about the gratifying "ride" they're about to trip on. "It Ain't the Same Without You," is aided by nifty keyboard work and infectious backing vocals, and anchored by a melody made for whistling; a synthesizer adds some snazzy coloring near the fade. Pat Lewis and
Belita Woods, along with four others, contribute backing vocals.
