Despite the loungey or electronica-sounding name,
Noches de Cocktail is actually a collection of (mainly) Latin pop tracks from the (mainly) Spanish speaking world (
Bebe,
Jarabe de Palo, and Enrique Bunbury are from Spain;
Tiziano Ferro is Italian, though he sings in Spanish here;
Aleks Syntax is from Mexico;
Jorge Drexler is from Uruguay;
Toquinho is from Brazil, and sings in Portuguese; and
Nancy Ajram is from Lebanon, and sings in Arabic) that could work as well on a summer afternoon as they could in a club just before sunrise. It's a fun, warm album, and a nice sampler of what kind of pop music there is out there. ~ Marisa Brown
