Yellowman often sounded casual and mild during this session. He alternated between patois and English, mixed toasting and singing, and even included a surprise cut, "Oldies But Goodies," on which he performed decent covers of such tunes as "Rock Around the Clock."
The Roots Radics' rhythm tracks were bright and active, giving him a traditional reggae backdrop with rich bass/guitar interplay and percussive energy. Anyone aware of his reputation will be surprised by these nine tracks' content; none contained anything overtly offensive, and most were simply pleasant, if at times bland, compositions. ~ Ron Wynn
