The Reivers' moderately muscular folk-pop hasn't necessarily aged very well, but those who enjoyed this kind of thing when it was current will still enjoy the subtle charms of this album. "Subtle," of course, is a gentle way of saying "hookless," but that's not entirely accurate in this case. "Breathin' Easy" and "Other Side" are more purposeful than interesting, and "Dragonflies" keeps building steadily towards a climax that never arrives. These specifics, however, just seem to make the simple, melodic charms of "What You Wanna Do" and especially "Chinatown" all the more arresting. And even more striking is the fact that "If I Had a Little Time Without You" starts off sounding for all the world like
