Boasting song titles like "Brain In A Jar," "Party In My Graveyard," "Torture Dungeon," "Welcome To Hell," and "976-KILL,"
Possession Park thrives on shock value and twisted humor.
Haunted Garage, who created a buzz in L.A. metal circles in the early '90s, obviously isn't taking itself too seriously on this CD. Like
GWAR, this wild band offers a parody of heavy metal and shock rock that is extremely fun and outrageously entertaining. The band doesn't sound at all like
GWAR; they're much slower, but they're heavier than
Spinal Tap.
Haunted Garage should have been a lot more well-known in the world of metal and hard rock parody. But unfortunately, the Angelinos faded into even greater obscurity as the '90s progressed. ~ Alex Henderson
