Vânia Abreu, owner of a pleasant timbre and affirmative interpretation, is a contemporary pop singer with some affiliation with MPB. While the album is replete with references to American and Jamaican pop grooves, there is an unusual (in this kind of release) interest and competence in the delivery of melodies. The result is pop, danceable tunes vocally interpreted with authority and sensibility. The composers selected are
Carlos Careqa, Chico César,
Arnaldo Antunes, Paulo Leminski,
Zeca Baleiro, and others. ~ Alvaro Neder
