Besides the hard rocking and all the better for it title track, a lost classic of anthemic rock at its most fiery and inspiring, this EP contains two other tracks that show
Divine Weeks pursuing other interests with enjoyable skill. The cover of the
Aretha Franklin classic "Think" isn't necessarily going to give Lady Soul anything to worry about -- then again, not many reinterpreters of Franklin would. In the hands of the band, though, it's a good way to show that they don't think rock began and ended with, say,
Led Zeppelin, giving the well-known grooves a rough and ready workout while See does a fine job on the vocals. As for "Roll Away," a band original, it shows the band at its most calm, an acoustic guitar and light percussion matching the electric pace for a slow, sweet groove. Call it hippie music done right, with just the needed amount of mystery and mood.
