Teddy Wilson sessions on CD, but this one is by far the most exciting. Recorded live at the 1973 Montreux Jazz Festival, Wilson plays some surprisingly extroverted solos, even starting "One O'Clock Jump" off with some torrid boogie-woogie. The majority of the standards are taken at faster than usual paces with
Wilson sounding very enthusiastic. Joined by bassist Kenny Baldock and drummer Johnny Richardson on eight of the nine selections,
Wilson really inspires clarinetist
