Mika Vainio, or Australian soundtrack producer
Paul Schutze, sporting sprawling environmental soundscapes that are less dark than suggestive and just a wee bit odd. Switching between angular, furrowed techno, sparse, off-kilter electro, and hissing electronic ambience,
Sunhat even throws a shifty lounge-jazz tune in, all the while managing an almost narrative coherence that might benefit from filmic accompaniment. Barring that, the album's rich, gorgeous artwork should do fine. ~ Sean Cooper
