Influenced by
Bruce Springsteen's 1982 album
Nebraska,
Silence is the debut solo LP from Canadian comedian, storyteller, and singer
Fred Pellerin, following his collaboration with his brother
Nicolas on their self-titled 2007 release two years previously. Its 12 self-penned French-language traditional folk songs, produced by
Jeannot Bournival, are inspired by the Quebec village of Saint-Élie-de-Caxton, where he grew up. ~ Jon O'Brien
