An anything but organic riddim from
Sly Dunbar and Steven "Lenky" Marsden (creator of the superior Diwali riddim),
Silicone relies heavily on the singer bringing the melody and excitement if it's going to work at all.
Tanya Stephens does both on her empowering "After Sex" as she lusts for cool crooner
Everton Blender instead of her underwhelming lover.
Capleton goes crazy on his track, Spice offers up an infectious chant, but
Bounty Killer comes out the winner with the confident and sexy "Virtuous Woman."
Sean Paul and
Elephant Man don't make much out of the riddim, but they never should have presented it. The lackluster
Silicone riddim isn't worthy of their skills or your attention. ~ David Jeffries
