One thing about the Trouble Man label, they sure embrace unconventionality -- as evidenced by such experimental, patience testing releases as Double Leopards' A Hole Is True and
Mouthus'
Slow Globes. Whereas the former is best described as sounding like a seemingly never ending wind tunnel, the latter at least has some resemblance to music. But still, that's not saying much. An album chock-full of drones and randomly placed notes (which are so processed you can't tell which instrument is being played),
Slow Globes sounds about as "made up on the spot" as you can get. Listened to at a loud volume, the album can perhaps best be used as the ultimate musical weapon -- guaranteed to clear a room in under five minutes flat. What did I do in a past life to deserve this? Please, make it stop already! ~ Greg Prato
