Sucuk & Champagner is the second solo album by German-Turkish rapper
Summer Cem, released two years after his 2010 debut Feierabend. With all the typical hip-hop and gangsta rap tropes firmly in place -- drugs, crime, weapons, parties, women -- the album delivers exactly what is expected of
Cem, who brags and boasts his way through the disc's 17 tracks. He is aided by
Farid Bang (on "Du weißt das"),
Massiv ("Streifenwagensound"),
Eko Fresh ("Antigaranti 3000"), Zemine ("Wo Ist Dein Lächeln," "Unbesiegbar"),
MoTrip ("Immer noch Hier"), and Defkhan & Shaan ("Badshah"). The record proved to be more popular than
Cem's debut, charting at number ten in Germany -- a sharp contrast to the first record's chart entry at number 85. [
Sucuk & Champagner is also available in a deluxe "baba" edition which features three bonus tracks, including "Jungs im Club" feat.
