Super Hot makes it clear that the wait was worthwhile. It's nothing but straight-up, traditional zydeco, but the music is performed with so much energy, the result is simply intoxicating.
T-Lou's nine original songs prove that he's a solid songwriter, and they give the record a solid foundation upon which he contributes a series of truly intoxicating performances that confirm his place as one of the best zydeco performers of the '90s. ~ Thom Owens
