Ex Number Five's
The Team Players Association is a compilation of previous recordings put onto one release for fans of the band to enjoy. Reminiscent of another East Coast act,
the Movielife, this release combines great vocal work along with equal parts hardcore, emo, and punk guitar to make for an adequately enjoyable album. Unfortunately, much of this material is nothing new, as the fine line between acts such as
Ex Number Five and
Avail,
A New Found Glory, and the aforementioned
Movielife is quite thin. There's definitely good energy displayed here, as well as a rather upbeat tone. Yet in the end, considering that much of this material has been previously released, unless one wants it all in one place, this may be a release best left to the die-hard fans.
