This may not be an "official" Rubinoos album, since
Jon Rubin is not involved, but all the other key 'Noos members are here (Tommy Dunbar on guitar and vocals,
Al Chan on vocals and guitar and Don Spindt on drums and vocals with
Psychotic Pineapple member
John Seabury on bass and vocals), and the sound is pure, unadulterated POP! This is chock full of melodies, superb harmonies and a joy that is seldom heard on even the poppiest of albums. It seems that time has not tarnished the musical magic these guys possess. "Must Be a Word" puts this album on the map with its up-front hook and earnest lead vocals. "Ink and Paper" takes Modern English's chorus hook and surrounds it with a Raspberries-like freshness. "Grey On Grey" is a classic TV Dunbar ballad. "Trust" is dynamic pop-rock anthem. "Repossessed" is
Beatles 101 with a 'Noos twist. "I Still Want You" and "Rosetta Stone" are perfect pop gems. A breath of sweet, fresh pop that will satisfy even the more cynical listeners.
