Many of these songs also appeared on Vitamin's 2004 string tribute to
Guns N' Roses, so this release makes very little sense. Even if they've been re-recorded, the arrangements for violin, viola, cello, double bass, and percussion on "Mr. Brownstone," "Sweet Child O' Mine," and "Paradise City" are nearly identical. A previously unavailable version of "Used to Love Her" is tasteful and sweet, the kind of unlikely interpretation that would play for ironic humor in a film. But anyone who purchased the first
String Quartet Tribute to Guns N' Roses should note the repetition in this one. ~ Johnny Loftus
