Rap Duo 2Flyy have been friends since their early teens. Born and raised in Bakersfield, California Mistah Webb (De’Zuan Webb) and Prince Pootiee (Mark Louden Jr.) were inspired to record music once they moved to Minot, North Dakota in 2015. The two jokingly began writing freestyles and rapping alongside friends for fun. In 2017, a friend asked them to compete in a rap competition. The duo agreed even though they only had 3 days to write, record, and prepare a performance for the competition. With help from their friend, and artist, TruEnuff they were able to record and complete their competition piece “Limited Edition.” The track targeted men who disliked homosexuals and showcased their talent as rappers. On May 21st, 2017 the two performed the track at Swagg Nasa’s “Purple Rain Party,” and won first place. The Two later on promoted and released the track on social media. It was well received by the public, and produced numerous likes and shares. They continued to write music throughout the years, but it wasn’t until the year 2020 that the duo would decide to pursue their careers as musicians.
