Alvin L. started as a vocalist at the Rapazes de Vida Fácil in the early '80s. In the late '80s, he formed the Brasil Palace, in which he experimented with a pop/rock/bossa nova mix. Also a member of the Sex Beatles,
L recorded two albums with them. But he is known especially for his work as a composer, having had his songs recorded by
Marina Lima ("Não Sei Dançar," "Deve Ser Assim," "Na Minha Mão," "Stromboli," among others),
Capital Inicial ("Todos os Lados," with
Dinho Ouro Preto/Bozo Barreti/
Marcelo Susskind),
