Annakin

Annakin is the singer of the former Trip Hop group Swandive. The band was highly acclaimed throughout Europe. Since their split up in 2002 Annakin has released 5 albums, all of which entered the Swiss album charts. She has received numerous awards and nominations for her music.
With her new, powerful single « Behind the Curtain » Annakin releases a first strong harbinger of her forthcoming album which will be out next spring. The beat driven production is based on acoustic guitars, strings and a wurlitzer piano, on top of which sits Annakin’s angelic voice. Her imploring singing is addressed to a young rascal who has troubles sticking to the truth. In her video for the song, this double-minded youngster is personified by an elephant. Annakin’s lyrics thus receive a slightly other meaning and the result is a poetic work of art.
