Growing up in a small town (Berkaak, Norway) with less than 1000 inhabitants and long cold winters, Astrid got into music at an early age and already at six she started to play the piano. Not long after she was also playing several instruments (guitar, flute), in addition to sing and write songs. At 16 she participated in the song competition "Idol 2013" where she deeply impressed both the audience and the music industry with her distinct voice and strong appearance. She released her first co-written song, the number one single Shattered, and was nominated as Newcomer and Artist of the year at NRJ-Awards already the same year.
Astrid is 18 years of age, has exquisite taste, is smart, and about to make waves as a performing artist, singer and songwriter.
2AM is her first single on Universal Music and introduces a new musical direction to the artist's songwriting. It has already reached Platinum status and has been on the radio charts in Norway for more than 30 weeks straight. The song is co-written by Jacob Olofsson (Jake Oh) and Paolo "Shirazi" Prudencio and it gives us a hint on what music direction the young artist is about to enter.
