After leaving Blue Rodeo behind to focus on solo work, Bob Wiseman decided not to pigeonhole his sound by playing strictly Alt Country. Subsequently, his solo work is a bit more accessible to the radio listener. Wiseman keeps a rootsy tone while he flirts with jazzy instrumentation and affects a textured singing voice.
