Taking themselves less seriously than fellow countrymen Oasis, Britain’s Cameron are tilling common ground crafting classic, arena-friendly anthems. Whilst Oasis reflect on the magnitude of their far-reaching future-so-bright; bands like Cameron still deal in the fire that makes rock classic. They may someday clown the Gallagher brothers and swipe the Crown -- they've certainly got the goods: elegant, cranky guitar solos come out of nowhere, strike quickly and then retreat into the catchy hooks of their pummeling, feel-good choruses. Spirited vocals soar, earning their place in the mix rather than obnoxiously lording over everything. With any luck these upstarts will be rocking the States soon, lending much-needed weight to Brit Pop’s idle threat of making rock ‘n’ roll threatening again.
