Damon Gray

Honky-tonkin' New Country with the requisite ironic twist: double-meaning song titles. The difference here, though, is that Damon Gray is quite good. The best of Buck Owens is filtered through the ubiquitous, millennial Nashville sound, but Gray carries it off on the strength of his songwriting and expert country instrumentation. His velvety voice doesn't hurt him any, either.
