Dan Tyack

Dan Tyack

A marching-band rhythm is tattooed upon a tight snare drum as a drunken saloon boogie-woogie piano stumbles into the mix. Adding to this is mix is the warm rumble of a swirling Hammond B-3 organ and a twang-toned electric slide guitar to get you ready for Dan Tyack's soulful and gritty voice. Once he starts wailing about his favorite drink like it was a mystical potion, you can almost see his eyeballs float in back of his head while he works up his gris-gris voodoo soul. His band's greasy swamp blues boogie is brewed in Cajun spices and New Orleans magic while his songs are as down home as a homemade bowl of Louisiana gumbo.
